This plant can grow up to 25″ long and 24″ high if not harvested. Beautiful ornamental for flower boxes. Plant is in the “mint” family. Organic Portuguese Oregano plants grow very quickly, fast for you to harvest. More often grown as an ornamental rather than a culinary herb. Portuguese oregano is widely used in island cuisine similar to Cuban oregano. Large fleshy leaves are variegated white and green (or yellow and green depending upon growth conditions), leaves are thinner than Cuban oregano and much larger than oregano and gets a nickname of Mexicali Mint. Quickly grows into a large sprawling plant in warm temps. Can be container grown indoors with adequate light. Purple flowers when in bloom attract bees and butterflies. Tender colorful  perennial and is spectacular with geraniums!
